Podcast: Episode 2 - Privilege + Class in Just One Day and Beyond
We're back with another installment of Clear Eyes, Full Shelves - Podcast Edition!
First of all, that you so, so much for all of your wonderful, insightful comments on the first episode of the Podcast--it really gave us so much to think about. In particular, thank you to Catie from The Readventurer, whose thoughts on the previous topic prompted this discussion.
This episode is long, so you may want to download it through iTunes, so you can mark your spot easily if you have to take a break while listening. In this episode Laura and I have a meandering conversation about the way class and privilege is handled in some of our recent reads. The bulk of our time is spent discussing Gayle Forman's new book, Just One Day, which has had some very interesting commentary around it.
You can listen by steaming the audio in this post, by control- or right-clicking the "download" link or subscribing in iTunes (our album artwork isn't displaying yet on the web interface, but you can see it on the right). I'll be adding the podcast to other directories as soon as we have enough episodes banked to be eligible.
Thanks for listening!
